BP International - a great hotel in Hong Kong

BP International House is a reasonably priced hotel in Kowloon

I stayed a few days in the Dorsett Seaview Hotel and couldn't take it anymore - I thought the location was OK, but the rooms were just too small.

So there's some context for you - maybe the rooms at the BP International weren't as big as I remember, but after the Dorsett Seaview they seemed big. Like almost what I expect to find in the US.

Also, Kowloon is great. The BP is one block from Tsim Sha Tsui's world famous shopping and one block the other direction from the ferry terminal that takes you to Macau.

The BP International has some tie with the Boy Scouts of Hong Kong, but don't let that fool you - it is a nice hotel, I would say 4-4.5 stars. It is the best value you will find in Hong Kong.

Also, if you ever travel with your family they will enjoy the location - it is right by Kowloon Park which is a great place to take the family. You will find a lot of great restaurants nearby and water park (open during the summer) within a couple minute's walk.

On a recent trip to Hong Kong I steayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel on a recommendation from a business associate who said it was much better than the BP. He was wrong - unless price is no issue (in which case you should be staying at the Renaissance), this is the best option.
